Web8 May 2024 · It seems like the SMEP focuses more on BD during and after ovulation when I've always heard that you want as much sperm as possible to already be there by the time the egg is released? (For the record DH has been tested and has no sperm issues) Thoughts/opinions on SMEP vs. every day? Web12 Apr 2024 · I always start having sex 3-4 days before ovulation and continue for 3 days afterwards. The egg only lives for 12-24 hours so personally I wouldn’t only BD every two days in case I miss it (although apparently sperm can survive for up to five days). Basically it's a plan of BD every other day starting CD8 and using OPKs. Once you get a + BD everyday for 3 days, take one day off and BD one last time. Hoping it works!!! Baby dust!!!

I start with every other day until my peak but because I get a peak for 2 sometimes 3 days it just drags on and on, especially if the day before my peak was a dtd day.
