Shropshire way route
WebRoute 44 is a route on the National Cycle Network, open in sections between Shrewsbury and Hereford. This route is on the National Cycle Network. The longest open sections of Route 44 are through the beautiful countryside of south Shropshire. This route travels in sections along scenic lanes with plenty of things to see and do along the way. The Main Route South was launched in 2024. It is divided into Stages 1 to 9, 10a and 10b. The Main Route North was launched in September 2024; this has stages 11 to 15 (stage 12 includes the Whitchurch spur as an alternative ending). This is fully documented in the website of the Shropshire Way Association.
