WebNov 4, 2002 · Egoism can be a descriptive or a normative position. Psychological egoism, the most famous descriptive position, claims that each person has but one ultimate aim: her own welfare. Normative forms of egoism make claims about what one ought to do, rather than describe what one does do. WebEthical relativism states that what is right and wrong is determined by people whom are influenced by their beliefs, culture, time period, and personal views. This first theory is very personal and could go either way. Ethical objectivism on the other hand is more broad.
