The pellets are Crosman .177 as the manual recommends, and the manual says the rifle is intended for target shooting. It warns that other BRANDS of pellet may jam the rifle, but not that target-style flat nosed pellets will jam it. Ergo, something isn't right.

WebJun 23, 2007 · This does occasionally happen with the 1077- especially if someone didn't fully insert the clip and tried to fire the gun- a pellet can jam partially into the barrel while still being partially in the magazine. It's a pretty tight fight in both- so a jam is the usual result.

WebI have a 1077. I fully stripped and cleaned it a while back. It's not too hard, and I got it back together without too many problems. The seals can be fussy, and there's one part in the trigger assembly that won't go back in at all, but it doesn't cause a problem to leave it out.
